American Express: “Best in Brand” Award
The Global Advertising and Brand Marketing team at American Express asked SARANKCO to design an award for their employees who had gone above and beyond in executing work that exemplified the brand’s attributes and new visual identity.
Their original idea was an acrylic photo frame but we thought something more unique to the brand would be more on point. The Blue Box as a three-dimensional, beautiful object they could display felt much more befitting. Our design featured a laser-etched clear cube with the American Express logo, pattern, and the recipient's name for a truly elegant award. The problem was we had only two weeks to get 10 of them produced. Luckily we found a local group of artists who specialized in laser etching right around the block, and we were able to buy 10 cubes from a vendor in the city. The result was a cool-looking award an employee could feel proud displaying.
